Getting a dog is like bringing a new family member into your life. It's sure to fill your home with love, but it's also a responsibility. Before bringing a dog home, consider the time, expense, and commitment that dog ownership demands, not to mention that most dogs live 10-15 years, so getting a dog requires a serious long-term commitment!

*****At BFR we will now add energy types to each dog after being evaluated. Please pick the energy that closely matches your own and your family's. If you pick a dog just on cuteness factor, chances are you will not fulfill your dog's energy level and will run into problems!

TYPES OF ENERGY:

VERY HIGH ENERGY: This dog is constantly on the move, from morning to nightfall. This dog can walk or run for hours on end and still have energy to burn.

HIGH ENERGY: Very athletic, this dog is very active, but will tire normally and sleep at the end of the day.

MEDIUM ENERGY: This dog is normal in physical activities, and sometimes vigorous ones, but balances them with equal periods of rest.

LOW ENERGY: Your couch potato doggie. This dog prefers to rest to activity. A couple of regular walks a day will be plenty of exercise for him/her.

Max is a special needs boy, as he has some allergies and currently recovering from surgery on his ear. Poor Max was abandoned by his previous owners and he was so lucky that a good Samaritan came to his rescue! Max is neutered and is microchipped. He comes with all the medicine he needs for his ear, as well as a nice new dog bed, a few toys, some food, treats, and a brand new water dish. Max is a good boy in the car and would love to be someone's traveling companion! He also loves his treats and is a sweet boy and will let you take it right out of his mouth with no problems. We are looking for only the best and most loving home for Max! He deserves to be a part of a loving family! Is your family the one? To meet with Max, please email Deb his foster mommy and rescuer at LiveLaff@aol.com for more information.
