How awesome that two BestFriends Rescue dogs get adopted TOGETHER! I am so happy for these two and that they have found their wonderful home! These two love their dad and their dad is so impressed and pleased with their behavior. Thank you Don for opening your heart and home to these great dogs. I am so grateful that they have you as their pack leader!
Update: Rocky & Sally are regulars here at BFR. We dogsit them while dad is away on business or vacation. What a great pair. So much energy and spunk. I know they keep their dad on his toes all the time! We love seeing you and having you visit!
Rocky
Rocky is an 11 year old gent. He was adopted by my own parents! My mom took a special liking to this boy and decided she wanted to make their home his forever, retirement home. Rocky is so spoiled and loved! He goes on two walks a day (AND LOVES IT!). My mom is so in love with him, my dad is jealous! Hahaha!
Lucy renamed Shadow
Picture of Lucy having fun at the beach! Lucy has been adopted by a wonderful woman who will spoil her rotten. Thank you Olga for taking her into your heart and home. I know she will do wonderfully with you! She is a very special girl to me and I am so happy that she has found the perfect match!
Update: Shadow is HUGE!!! She is over 100 lbs and looks absolutely gorgeous. She even has a new Lab brother by the name of Rocky! Both dogs are amazing and very lucky to have a very special mom that cares so much about them!!
Duke renamed Diesel
Duke has found a perfect home to live the rest of his life in. He has a doggie girlfriend by the name of Gracie. Pictured is Gracie holding Duke's leash and showing him around. They are the perfect match. Thank you so much to the Natzic Family for giving Duke, now renamed Diesel a wonderful home!!!
Update: Diesel is now healthy. He went to his family with an open wound on his back foot and was extremely underweight and with mange to boot. He is now a healthy boy with some attitude! The Natzic family may be introducing another new Dane named Mack to their Dane crazy family! What an awesome family!
Roxy
BestFriend Rescue was fostering Roxy for West Coast Mastiffs Rescue and now Roxy is on her way up to Northern California to be with a perfect family! YAY ROXY!!!
Update: Roxy is now at the Rainbow Bridge. She had severe hip dysplasia and was allowed to live out her life comfortably on meds. She is now in peace. Thank you Roxy for all the smiles you brought to us. We now shed tears in your honor. You will be missed sweet girl!
Heidi (renamed Harley)
Harley formerly known as Heidi has found a wonderful home with the Davidson family!!! Thank you so much for giving this special girl a home she so deserved!
Note: I haven't spoke to her owners recently, but I wanted to add, this dog has had an amazing, sad journey. You wouldn't know by looking into her eyes, that she was beaten, kicked and extremely emaciated when she first came into rescue. We could literally count all her bones and she also had neurological damage to her back leg. Despite this girls hardships, she was an amazing dog!! She loved people and now has two young girls that love her and dress her up like a Princess! Here are her before and after pics!

Congratulations to Bill and Carolyn! They have adopted the most precious boy ever! This little guy has taken a piece of my heart with him and he is dearly missed. I am so happy for him, because I know he is in the best place possible! Thank you so much for giving this guy the best home ever. And yes I did cry like a baby the whole way home!!!!
